anybody know what rearend i can use to replace my transaxle out of my 63 lemans? i need to know if you were successful and how can avoid spending tons of cash trying it? 5 kids in the house are not to forgiving when it comes to putting down too much cash in a car. thanks in advance..........
It would probably be cheaper to have the rear rebuilt rather than finding a 63' rear that will fit. If you are going to go that route though there parts interchange manuals that will help you in your search. Another option would be to call up a more modern auto salvage yard and have them do a search through their computer for the rear. There are yards out there that work with a national network to track down hard to find parts. I've searched on the internet before looking through some of these salvage yards.
