how does this work..
is it just to keep the engine at normal temperatures so it doesnt "freeze"?? or is it to keep it warm enough also to be able to heat the cabin as soon as the engine is running..

There good if you live in northern Montana, Minnesota, N. Dakota, etc.
If your in Chicago, Cinncinati, Pittsburgh you don't need it.
