check oil on sunfire

My son just purchased a 95 sunfire gt. and the check oil light comes on after starting some times and stays on. the manual says that it is from parking on slope. he parks on such small slope you wouldnt think this would be a problem. Is this light reporting someother prob. or is there a way to make it less senistive or get it to go off after starting without stopping and turning off car. any help on this would be appreciated

it may be because of low or no oil pressure. i would hook up a mechanical guage to the engine to see what the pressure is. if its good with engine cold and hot,it may be the oil pressure sending unit.
