They're reusable air filters that offer more airflow then OEM type filters. More airflow means that there is a bump up in engine power.

It will make you feel better and perhaps even make you believe that your engine has more horsepower.
I believe it will also lighten your wallet unnecessarily.

Ever test a plain 'ol paper filter on a flowbench? It flows too damn much to get an accurate reading; an engine needs to be making *serious* power before a clean air filter becomes a major restriction.
As reuseable filters are typically oiled-element types, they are also an excellent way to get an oil film >> i see lots of ppl are selling AIR INTAKE K&N type stuff... what are >> they?
Nope. One day I was driving our Blazer and to me there was a noticeable loss of power. I looked at the air filter and it was all black and crummy looking. I replaced it and it got a little bit better. I can say the same for when I changed the oil in my GP.
I'd have no idea.
Although I don't believe I get any more power out of the K&N I threw on my TA, it's actually cheaper in the long run (for that car.) Look up the air filter for a 2001 Firebird V8. I was paying around $35-$40. A K&N was $80. On the Beretta, it's like $8 for a filter - I'm sure a K&N would be more than $16.

Yea yea yea...I read that right but thought something else (I just got home from deer hunting and was tired as hell) :P . And for the oil change it was noticeable but it wasn't all that noticeable...I don't think that it'd affect daily driving.
