1987 900 turbo spg

Everyone has told me that the fuel pump relay is located in the passengers side kick panel area infron of the door.

Well... I removed the carpet and found a large jetronic box, must control ignition or something and a large wiring harness going up, BUT NO.. relays, sheez and I have look a ton.

This is an spg if that matter but I can NOT find any relay. Is there some higher up that require some special understand ing of exactly where to put you hands and finger around?

WHY? is this so hard. I found 15 hits alone on people that can't find theirs as well and no follow up after "it is in the passenger kick panel area" well I must be blind cuz I have never not found a part during a repair after 25 years! This one is pissing me off royally.

Please does ANYONE have intimate knowledge of this!

Thanks

In the UK it's on the passenger side (the left hand side of the vehicle, when you're facing forward). I would've thought that in the US it would be on the same side, so the driver's side.

Grunff mate.

My earlier 85 Aero has fuel pump and fuel cut relay sockets in the fuse/relay box, but both are empty.

Is it likely that mine is hidden under the footwell/kickpanel side carpet too?

Dunno - on mine they're in the _passenger_ side, behind the kick panel, on a bracket just above the black air duct.

The only thing I've ever seen behind the carpet on a 900 is the ECU - just the ECU, but no relays.

But I think they did move stuff around a lot - so could be anywhere (well, not quite anywhere - the only pleaces they put relays are under the bonner, behind the kick panel and under the back seat).
