'97 9000 AERO cuts out in the transition from Yellow to Deep yellow

I have a problem I was hoping to get some help on. A few weeks ago, I started to get slight missing when hitting deep yellow. In the past, I have always been able to bump into slight red and not have any cutout at all, just limited at that point



Now, yesterday it got much worse and starts to cut out in med Yellow. I don't know if I have a bad DI cassette, knock sensor, or something else. I would appreciate, if someone knows how this determines overboost (is there a pressure switch somewhere ?), an explanation. Also, ALL ideas are welcome, as I don't have a SAAB dealer close and hope to figure this out on my own.

1) you are running Premium fuel, no? 2) you are running NGK NGK BCPR7ES plugs.

Your car does not have a knock sensor. Knock is sensed through the plugs (very high tech). It may be the plugs need to be gapped. It may be that you have non-NGK plugs. It may be that the DI cassette is 'going'. If it is an electrical miss and the plugs are proper and gapped and there is no coolant leakage (headgasket going), I would bet on a DI cassette. Mine lasted about 100k and just stopped. Car would not run. I did not really have a noticeable running problem until it quit. (FPT 2.3L). Others have miss at high power levels.
