Mobile antenna

I've got a 2001 9-3 anniversary convertible (marketed in Australia, not sure elsewhere). They have the short mobile antenna on the back RHS- or at least mine did until it got stolen. I don't use the mobile in the car, and so don't need to pay the (Aussie dollars) $170 for a replacement. Apparently, they don't sell dummies- only the real thing. Anyone got one cheap, or a solution to cover the antenna mount? The thread is still Ok, so it wasn't torn off by a vandal. Surely not a fellow Saab owner needing a replacement?

I've got a 2001 9-3 convertible, aniversary model in Australia. They have the short, stubby mobile antenna on the back RHS. Or at least mine did until it was stolen. As I don't use the mobile in the car, I don't need to pay the (Aussie dollar) $170 for a replacement, but apparently they don't sell dummies, just the real thing. Anyone got a cheap second hand one, or can suggest an alternative? I figure I should cover up the metal attachement point. Interestingly, it wasn't damaged, indicating the antenna was unscrewed, rather than torn off by a vandal. Surely not a fellow Saab owner in need of a replacement?

Does anyone know if these have a standard fitting? I've got loads of the ones supplied with Nokia CARK-91 car kits if they are any use.. I know your in Oz, but I'll send you one over for the cost of postage if you can find out if it will fit!

Thanks Mike- but I don't think they're universal- in fact the Saab dealer said that the antenna I want was only on the old (2000-2002) convertible. I guess the CARK-91 kits you have are not specifically for saabs?

No, unfortunately not, they're just standard Nokia ones. I was wondering if there'd been some sort of Scandinavian collaboration between Saab and Nokia. Apparently not. Oh well, worth a shot.

It won't have been a fellow Saab owner. Who nicked yours. We're not like that :-)
