SID and aftermarket stereo

It should work fine, though I've never actually tried it. It's pretty easy to take the stereo out if you want to give it a try - there's no codes for it to forget.

Of course, the bottom line of the SID will be blank most of the time with no audio info to display.

No audio info on the SID, but since I never had the audio info displaying on the SID I don't miss it. The audio info does display on the radio, which is some sort of Sony. I don't have the owner's manual for the radio -- which is supposed to play mpegs and satellite radio -- so I can't even set the time for it. It took me a couple of days just to figure out how the CD player works -- the face of the radio flips down and the CD goes behind it. If I remember, I'll take some photos. It's a tidy installation. It also had some sort of hands free phone connection I think. That was partly dismantled when I got it.
