I week and a half ago I had my car battery replaced. I have a 1995 SL2 standard, this is the second battery for the car. When I went to the garage I could not start my car, I had to push it to start it, the battery was dead. Once the car was running the garage guy took one of the battery terminal cables off to determine if it was the battery or alternator. The car stayed running while the battery terminal cable was disconnected, thus he said my alternator must be OK I need a new battery. It is now a week and a half ago and I now again have a dead battery, try turning the key and dead silence. Any suggestions, Thanks in advance.

Wow. That method barely ever worked as a diagnosis tool and for any car from the last 15 years or so the manual will explicitly tell you not to do that because of risk to the electrical system.
Go find a guy with a clue (and preferably a voltmeter). You probably did need that new battery after 10 years, anyway.

Maybe you have a draw on the battery overnight causing it to go dead. Glove box, trunk, or dome light being left on?
You need to find someone else to work on your car if that is the way he diagnoses things.
