2003 outback llbean, pioneer avic-d1 and gps from onstar

howdy all,

I have a 03 llbean outback and am considering the pioneer avic-d1. Couple of questions i was hoping to get some more info on....

Is there a way to use the gps antenna lead from the onstar that came with my ob instead of having to install the pioneer antenna?

How hard would this be to install myself?? I have been contemplating doing my own install and am fairly handy. Crutchfield wants about 1500 for this and I have found it online elsewhere for about 1100.

Thanks in advance
