I lied, I like 325xi setup where fronts are connected with a huge (2 sec or so delay) after the rears have been spinning in vain. But next to that 40/60 is second best.

I think BMW xi setup is da best at eliminating torque bind and other similar problems with idiots towing the car improperly. But If you do an xi kind of thing on a subaru you either get a bmw(I somehow doubt it) or you get an epileptic RAV4 system with s***ty brains that does a random dance when random wheels sleep on a slippery pavement.

My guess is FT-86 platform would be the proving ground for the new awd concept.

Not that I expect toyoda to fix their s***ty "awd" in the process.

Any idea what is compromised to get the 36 mpg rating?
