Another Subaru Recall

To quote the article online a CR:

"The recall will include certain models among 2008 to 2016 Impreza cars, and 2013 to 2017 Crosstrek and 2014 to 2016 Forester SUVs."

Apparently applying silicone-loaded lubricants to the brake pedal area can contaminate the brake switch and cause it to malfunction. Notifications will be forthcoming.

Sounds like an easy thing to fix.

I suspect that it will be a straightforward replacement of the switch as opening and cleaning it (if that is even possible without destroying it) would be tedious and slow and, as they say, time is money.
