Antenna Booster question

All,

Just installed Alpine CDA 9815 in my 2005 Forester X and got weak FM reception. I'm using a wire harness from Cructhfield. On the factory harness, wire 14 (I've listed the pinouts below)is for Motor Antenna. From studying a couple of diagrams I found on ScoobyMods, I'm pretty confident that wire 14 is the Antenna Booster for the window antenna. My question is, can I simply connect this wire to the Power Antenna wire on the radio or will I need to find an alternate source to power it? I have no idea what voltage is required to power the booster, nor do I know what voltage is coming from the Power Antenna wire from the radio - about to call Alpine and find out.

Layout of the connector
