I just run across this article that talks about higher compression ratio (8.0 -> 9.0:1), variable valve timing control, 4EAT sequential shifter (among other new features) for the Australian WRX.

I am hoping that the higher compression may mean significantly more engine response at low revs. Will the Australian model come to the USA eventually? Thanks.
