vw/audi is very touchy feely about stuff you pour in their hardware. the manual transaxle fluid is about $33 a liter.

I dunno how much their motor oil cost, i just have 5w40 synthetic poured in it.

I watched in amazement when a guy up in the hills by I-35 and I-9 crossing (gated community, who knows how many acres of land included) drained all the coolant from his bike right on the grass. My jaw dropped. I was under the assumption that if you have a multimillion dollar house with vista views you'd at least bother to shovel a catch pan underneath. i guess he does not keep cats. made me wonder what his sexual orientation was after the incident.

I have no idea if a bike uses the propylene glycol or, maybe dexcool. And, i THINK, newer formulations og ethylene glycol put a 'bittering agent' in the stuff to help prevent ingestion. But, a lot of older cars may still have the toxic stuff in them, plus, a lot of jugs of the older stuff may still be in folks' garages. Even some of the additives in the propylene glycol might have serious side effects - dunno.
