(1)I am almost closing a deal in buying 2005 Legacy GT. So, aboutextended warranty, aside from following maintenance schedule,(a)what should I be aware of so that the extended warranty wouldn't getrevoked?(b)Also, what should I be aware of so that manufactures warrantywouldn't get revoked, if that can happen?(c)Can doing oil change at a place other than dealer rise to revokingmanuafacturer's warranty or extended warranty revoked?(2)A thread I saw today about head gasket reminded me of the thread Isaw a while back about head gasket in Subaru. Though not specificallyabout the turbo, I read up on how the car engine works at "How Stuffworks site". (I have seen the parts of an engine last fall when Ijoined an automechanic class though i didn't stick around till th enddue to time constraint); I plan to educate myself on how everythingworks in my new car. What symptoms should I keep in mind to detecthead gasket problem?

More likely it was a hot day and you were boiling off coolant sending steam bubbles to the expansion tank. When the water pump stops running you can get local hot spots that will do that.

Possible but I don't think so. ISTR hearing it in a wide variety of conditions, including coming home at night.

5yr\60k for powertrain. If you had the additive I think they took it up to 7yr\100k for the headgasket only.
