rear Impreza coil spring

Hi, My 99 Impreza TS rear suspension looks to be slightly lower than the front suspension. The dealer told me that people who load this car heavy from rear always get their rear coil lower. I dont carry heavy people or heavy loads so can I renew these coil spring? Anyone know about this problem and some solution? The car is still stable on road so I dont want to spend lots of money for it.

I have the same problem on my 2000 Impreza Wagon.

Most of the time, the car is not loaded but in a couple of occasions, I did load it to the capacity (5 people with luggage) I also noticed a few other wagon with the read end lower... In fact, I have noticed alot of Subaru Impreza wagon that appear visually to have a lower read end.

I my opinion, it is probably a lower quality set of coil springs that were intstalled at the factory and Subaru is not willing to change them.

I have owned 4 subies and I never had a problem with the previous models and I did not change the way that I am loading the cars

I will probably change all springs in a few years and in the mean time, I can say that the car handles great and I have no complain.

The rear of my 2002 WRX sits about 1.5-2" lower than the front, which I think looks funny, and I'm sure it can't help any with suspension performance. Oddly, the lights don't really seem to be aimed up, it may have been like this all along and I'm just noticing it recently.

I've mentioned it initially to the dealer, they haven't made any noise about fixing it so far.

You will also notice that most aftermarket spring kits lower the front of the car more than the rear.

The point is that some folks are noticing that the front seems higher than the rear with a stock setup, the aftermarket seems to be addressing this by offering more drop in the front springs. I think we're on the same page here, right?
