I got my wife off WebTV one year ago. She had no spam for the two years she used it. I don't think MSN owned it when she started. The box and all cables are sitting in the garage, can't find anyone who wants it. She spent enough in two years of monthly fees to pay for her new computer, $8.25/mo for local ISP connection with NGs and email vs. $25/mo for WebTV. She eventually had to have a HD so she could store info she researched off the web.

If your petition doesn't produce the desired result, switching to a computer will. Spam filtering directly off the server is quite effective. My 2¢,
