Used Subarus are hard to find?

Poor you. A $2k loan for a used car for a whopping APR of 10-12 ? So you'd have to pay $200 in interest. Wow, life is hard in the places where banking system does not blatantly rip you off. I'm living in a place with car prices 1.5-2x that in the states and canada so moaning about a tiny loan gets little sympathy from me.

It's not that I'm avoiding loans completely as I'm going to be using a line of credit already on this, I just like to live within my means.

BTW guys, when shopping for a used Subie, do you consider any model-year, or are you actually looking only for those from known good model years? There must be such info online somewhere, I suppose. With all the headgasket problems of the past, I would think one would try to steer away from the ones known with that problem.

Well, I'm mainly using a user-car book called The Lemonade Book, which we get here in Canada. It's not specifically about Subarus, but it has reviews about almost all makes and models. The book mentions trouble spots for various model year ranges. Then the next almost equally important thing is the price obviously.
