My 1999 Ford Ranger Auto Trans has stopped upshifting to 3rd gear. Also the speedometer isn't working at the same time. Any ideas? Thanks Norm

Probably a bad speed sensor on the trans. It doesn't know when to shift. I'll bet you can make it shift into 3rd if you play with the shifter.
