We have a 97 geo metro with 110k miles, 4cyl engine. It has a check engine light with p0400 error code - insufficient EGR flow. I took out the EGR valve, cleaned it with carb cleaner an reinstalled. The light came back on the next day... What should I check next? How can I tell if the valve is bad? When opening by hand it does not open all the way - that is it still partially covers up the hole. Is that a big deal?
