Hello, all. Recently I had replaced a defective alternator/regulator in a 1990 Mercury Sable. The battery is once again getting charged but now I notice that the all-electronic dash display is considerably dimmer (with or w/o the engine running) both during daylight (headlamps off) and at night (which was always less bright than the daylight setting by design, even with the dimmer rheostat at minimum resistance). All other lamps/indicators appear to be at normal brightness. Any ideas what could be causing the lack of brightness in the display? Thanks for your time and comment. Sincerely,
