It has to do with the price of the alternator, as might be charged by a dealership, idiot.
AutoZone does not sell brand new alternators.
Check the website, or talk to them, cretin. They list three alternators for this application, one rebuilt, two new. The limited lifetime warranty does not apply to the new ones.
