22re valve adjustment now #2 missing

i just adjusted the valves on freinds 22re with an rv cam(oversized), now the number 2 cylinder is not firing. spark plug is sparking, when that plug is removed there is no gas coming out of the spark plug hole, shouldn?t there be if that cylinder is getting gas? why would this problem start immediately after valve adjustment. i?m not a mechanic but i have adjusted valves on my own 22re with no problems, i know they are adjusted correctly according to the haynes manual. please help.
