Hi, toyota 4runner 93 auto trans. Sometimes when I stop it will not downshift; I have to do it manually then after a while it shifts normally again. Is some kind of strap loose, what to look for? tia req

There are no straps in your transmission.
How many miles are on the vehicle? What is the condition of the automatic transmission fluid?
One possible cause is a sticking shift solenoid. If not, then an expensive teardown may be required.
I had a mechanic come and service it, changed fluid filters etc. still same prob It does it at random
