Hi Folks:
Need your help. My car did not pass smog check (California). Smog check mechanic (their shop do not do repairs) suggested that catalytic converter needs to be replaced. He said it will cost a lot to replace it (around $700) as it is close to the engine unlike other cars.
I am trying to figure out where is the converter located on this model .. is it close to the engine ? This will help me figure out whether to repair the car or retire it.
