I always wondered if accelerating while the air conditioner is on uses more fuel than turning it off while accelerating. On my old Sigma I installed a vacuum powered switch which turned the aircon off while accelerating. Would this not be a good idea to save fuel? Or do Camry's and other cars already have an aircon cut out while accelerating?
