Piss off and take your spam with ya ...
Good netiquette to ya, VLJ
No, piss on you.
What a novel sales approach.
Igrnorance begets ignorance. If you have nothing to say positive, then people should be quiet.
Same line they use when you file a warranty reimbursement claim - I bet! If they can't afford to pay to advertise - doubt their claim payment record is any better. Does Yahoo allow their users to SPAM Newsgroups - doubt it!
Thanks.
tell that to the pResident

Rather ironic you would post that. These newsgroups exist for people who prefer to maintain their own vehicles and seek advice from others who are more experienced in the repairs in question, or whether aftermarket items are equal to or better than OEM or guidance on what some particular problem may stem from so they can be more educated when going in to their local dealer/mechanic to help in making their own purchase decisions.
They do not exist for people to pimp commercial ventures by which they financially gain. That is what paid commercial channels and media outlets are for and that is where you should spend your time and money, not freeloading in Usenet newsgroups and web site discussion boards. Those who do are entirely deserving of the label of spammer, huckster, scum, bottom-feeder, etc. and are wholly meritorious of any disparagement directed at them in follow-ups to their most unwelcome solicitations.
If you have something *positive* to contribute regarding Toyota trucks, maintaining them, enjoying them or passing along advice to others who own them or are contemplating purchasing one strictly on an altruistic basis to be of help to the Toyota truck community at large, you are welcome here. If your motive is to get people to part with their money for personal financial benefit, you are not. Its very simple really and should not be difficult to comprehend ...
Good positive contributions to ya, VLJ
VLJ,
Great post ! Yes, I bought an extended warranty from the dealer on my '04 Tundra....because I've never owned a 4WD before and I was concerned about screwing something up ! Yes, I probably got ripped off ! But I come here to read about stuff as you've described...not seeing "ads" for cheaper policies that make me say "Geez....I'm an idiot !" !
