As was pointed out to you in another Toyota newsgroup, extended warranties only benefit the seller. Actual profit margin on extended warranties is
80-90%, drastically higher than the 30-40% on any other type of warranty.When bought at the dealer yes. That is why we are substantially less.

Of course, the trick is to read the fine print on the warranty they are pushing first - most of them have loopholes big enough to drive a Semi through, meaning the odds of them actually having to pay out on a claim are very low.
