Clean TRD Wheels

Apr 05, 2004 1 Replies

I have newer TRD wheels and black spots have formed on them. I cleaned most of it but there are still spots left. I had to store these wheels/tires outdoors this winter under my deck so they didn't escape the elements, only the road salt. Can anyone recommend a way to get these wheels looking good again without spending the big $$$ to refinish or whatever. I was using Eagle Wheel Cleaner and a brush, I may see about polishing with a brush bit on a drill?

Thanks

Try using Mothers billet alumnium polish by hand first. This stuff works wonders. If you decide to use a brush bit for a drill or rotary tool, make sure it is cotton. A felt tip will actually overpolish it and you won't be able to get an even shine with it.
