poor gas mileage/new pcv valve

Hey guys, I recently replaced the original PCV valve on my 93 4x4 22re (149k) with a purolator PCV valve. i noticed a big loss in mpg. it went from 20 to about 15. should i go buy a factory one and reinstall it?
