Driving home from work today oil light started flickering. Has plenty of oil. This dummy light is off more than it is on. Also, it suddenly sounds like one of the valves is clanging very loudly. But the funny thing is, it really only is noticable when there is a load on the engine, such as acceleration or up hill.
Does anyone think these two are related? Maybe an oil pump? Maybe unrelated?
I sorta do not think I have a problem with oil pressure because the oil light does not come on solid at an idle, when I have the lease amount of oil pressure. The oil light flickers when driving at high speeds or low speeds.
