Build your own "aviation style" air conditioner for the back seat

I am a big fan of "Instructables", a site where people post detailed instructions on how to build something that they have made. There is some seriously geeky stuff happening there.

I found today that someone has posted very detailed instructions on how to build an air conditioner using a small cooler, a boat pump, and an oil cooler from a small car (he used one from a VW Rabbit).

No brainer! But thanks for the link.

We have had local air coolers for ages. One is the famous Swamp Cooler that attaches to the passenger's door. Works only in low humidity places. Another is the NASCAR helmet cooler - a hose from a container of ice, with a fan, to the helmet. And your link is yet another.

IMHO - with appreciation for your link, they are all better than hanging an AC unit on our poor little ACVW engines.
