Did it come with a name? Many VW's are part of the family. Ask it's name. We call our ACVW's Red, The Pick-up Car-la The Cabriolet The new arrival has no name yet, We call it the "New Arrival" a ghia

adjust the valves, at least check 'em. and carry a fire extinguisher. to put out other people's car fires , of course.

Yep. The '74 Bug is named FLATTERY. Because it gets me nowhere.

Our 1958 was our first ACVW in our marriage, so he/she is called Alfie.. We are naming ours via the Greek Alpahbet.. Alfie for Alpha Betty was for Beta Don't have a "C" car (yet) hmmm, maybe its an omen, we ARE looking at a C car, 1964 convertible.....

My camo painted Baja has a title rather than a name. It's the Steurm Kafer (Assault Beetle.)

Tony

My '65 already came with a name, Ruby. I'm sure there are many more with the same name though. Here's proof.

My VW is named after the three letters on the Calif. license plate -- IMA

Mine has acquired the name Otto.

Petunia - '71 camper - she's my mule... 320k mi, so far ;-) Igor - 67 t1 (totally slammed, all show, some go, ie, 1600dp) Bad Bug - 69 t1 (down 4" 2275, very serious corner straight'ner - HATES speed bumps)

toy'n with the idea of an electric later T3... but that's in the future, ie, no name yet.

I think you should only name it if it's legendary... :-)

I call one of my Bugs Linda because it can't idle, runs with the throttle stuck wide open, then rolls to a stop and won't start again. Kinda a woman's version of premature whatever.

All my beetles get named "Rusty"

our '71 Ghia has the name "Tony" welded into the air cleaner support. Is that it's name?

I have been into the ACVW scene for more then 25 years and the only thing I have ever referred to the more then 20+ ACVW's I've driven is by the year. example my first beetle I've always called the the 63 rag and then the next nicest was the 68, I always call my show car the 64 and my bus the 67 westy and so on of coarse they all been called #&%* at some point.

Our 70 vert is named Kermit. Because he's green, of couse. And, as we all know, "it's not easy being green."

1970 C> Did it come with a name? Many VW's are part of the family. Ask it's name.

Of course!

The vw's are:

Gus - T25 Ozzi - Bay pickup Tipsy - '71 Beetle Winnie - '73 Beetle Tango - '73 beetle

Non-vw's are: Merv - Peugeot Jepper - Jeep Wrecker - Land Rover

It acquired the name "Tony" because someone welded that into the air cleaner support bracket.
