Back in 60, 70s you could tell when your carbie mixture was right by the colour of the exhaust. Black was rich, grey was good, whiter was lean. Not the smoke,the insides of exhaust. Doesnt seem to work anymore, is this a result of unleaded petrol? John

Yes. The gray - white deposits were the remains of the lead additives.
