My neighbor has a fibre glass Porsche 911 kit in his backyard.
Its been sitting in his backyard for over eight years gathering dust. It also comes with porsche wheel rims. Part of the whale tail got gnawed at by his dog.
He asked me (cos I own a 1965 Beetle) how much its worth. Frankly I don't know.
How much would it be worth though?

Varies greatly depending on condition and location. They are very pricey new but seem to devalue quickly. I know of one for sale about an hour from me. The entire kit cost $13K new and last I heard the guy was trying to get $7K out of it without much luck. That is everything except a pan to put it on - glass, top, wiring harness, etc.
Bodies only I have seen sell for as little as $400-$500. Got any pix? Tough to say without a bit more info.

Hmm. I don't have a digital camera but $400 seems a lot for a weather beaten porsche shell. I think the current owner would be overjoyed to receive that.
I'll call up one of the local VW mechanics around my area and ask him.
