240 (1985) how to access the radio aerial behind the front wheel?

Seasons Greetings!

Our 240 has a broken radio aerial. Anyone able to point us in the right direction to get access to the unit which enters the metalwork near the windscreen just above and behind the front wheel?

Thanks i. a.

Best regards,

Jim Kelly

Nothing simpler, Jim. The "rod" part of the aerial is actually threaded into the "button" part that is attached to and penetrates the bodywork. To replace the rod, simply unscrew the clamp near the top of the windshield and unscrew the rod from the button. No need to mess with the integrity of the seal.

Cheers, Lyle
