hello folks



are there differences between a 1984 B2x block and a 1987 B2xx block? i would like to switch the cylinder head from a B2XX to the B2X



how are the waterpumps? the same? is there anything else i have to take care for?

On the B2xx: The main and rod bearings are smaller. The rods are longer and lighter The crank has 8 counter weights instead of 4.

The water pumps are also different. Use the water pump designed for the block.

You can swap the cylinder heads, but the B2x has no provision for the rear mount distributor as used on the 700 series. To go the other way, you may need a plug for the distributor hole (standard 240 part).
