Canada (East Coast) - advice remote starter - 2003 S60

I've had conflicting advice about remote starters, but would still like to have one installed on a 2003 S60 AWD (2.5T).

Can you recommend or share your experience? I was told not to have anything installed on the car by a Volvo dealer. Your thoughts...
