Looking to install an Alpine MP3 changer in the Ovlov (S70 w/ SC-816) and wondering if it can be done. I went into the local supplier of such things and the audio guy was somewhere else. Spoke to the guy on the floor and he suggested that it was impossible as the changer is Ai-net and the head unit Mbus and no-one would bother developing an Ai-net - mbus connection link.
I went home and thought about and searched Alpine's Oz site. They do indeed have a Mbus - Ai-net connector, but will the head unit be able to communicate with the changer?
I know the simple option is to go in and try it, however that option wont be open to me for some weeks, hence the calling on the infinite wisdom here.
Has anyone done it? I don¹t want to install one of the new head units to control the stacker for the obvious reasons.
