Just thought I'd share my solution for this tool.
Most hardware stores have bar steel, so you need a piece
3 feet long, 1" width and 12 guage thickness.
Mine says "steel works" on the sticker and cost was $4.99
Fortunately, I have a bending brake but I'm sure even a vice and hammer would work, or your neighborhood metal shop.
Just put a 1/2" bend on one end and you're in business....works great.
