91 Fox Headlight replacement..Bently doesn't cover..help!

folks...91 fox, 49 state model.

i had a fender bender and need to replace the driver's side headlight. the lens was cracked in the accident.

my bently manual is of no help. the headlight information is on page 11-24.

it appears that the manual is refering to headlights on foxes that are older than 91.

it talks about removing a headlight trim piece, and there is no such thing on this vehicle.

it seems as though the headlights are attached to the car by the adjustment screws themselves and i can't see any way to loosen these screws, except possibly with a special tool??

any thoughts??

thanks andy

did you look for tiny screws and/or clips holding on the grille and plastic trim pieces over the headlights? Look well and you will see! ;-) good luck too!

thanks for writing dave, but...

the headlights in 91-93 models are definitely different than the 87-90 models.

if anyone out there has experience with 91-93 fox headlights, i'd like to hear from you. thanks very much andy

Not 100% sure, but check out this pic:

It's a Brazil-spec Fox headlamp. If it's any help to see it off of the car, there you go.

If it is the adjustment screws that double as the mounting screws, I'd say first mark the headlamp beam with a pencil on a wall or something so you can match up the new lamp. Swap the lamps, then check the aim of your new lamp based on the pencil marks on the wall from the old one.
