Hi,
I'm interested in buying a used New-Beetle, but don't know much about the various models and options that are out there.
Can anyone direct me to a site that would have that information by model year.
Also, if you have any advice (ie. models/years to avoid and why, etc.) that would be appreciated. I haven't bought a used car in a long, long time.

Not much to say about the choices which are 2.0l, 1.8t, Sport model, and convertible.
and the 1.9TDI!!!! Turbo Diesel.

it goes like this....
avoid anything older than 2000...in fact, try for 2001+...earlier NB's had some...uh...problems with build quality.
GL , GLS, and GLX Each model means more and more std. equipment...
Engines go:
2.0L, 1.9TDI, and 1.8T 2.0 is a good motor...not exactly powerful...but rather torquey...(is that a word?) 1.9TDI is just that...a turbo diesel...not a bad motor by any means.... 1.8T....now thats a sexy beast....would be MY first choice...followed by TDI, then 2.0.just my tew scents ;)
