pesky electrics

well I was driving along today in my "rat" '87 Golf and the radio stopped and power didnt sem to be getting to it, not only that the indicators wouldnt work either the green light just came on when i moved the indicator arm up or down but no flashing lights?

I assume its a fuse but I wonder? Can anyone put me ahead of the curve on this?

Much thanks in anticipation

Michael

Don't know if this will help and I may be way off here but in my 86 golf I wired in a new stereo using the existing wires I found in behind it. A couple of months later, while bored one lunch hour at work I was cleaning my dash and bumped my hazard light switch to the on position and suddenly my radio came on. I figured the constant power memory wire on the the stereo had some how over the years had been wired to the hazard switch. I never changed it because it really didn't matter to me. In all my tinkering with it I found if the plug connector on the back of the hazard switch becomes unplugged, your signals work in the same "no response" manner. before that I would check the fuses first and possible relay for signals because it could have back fed power to blow some other circut
