Have been tshooting an 87 Golf GL that runs very rough when first started but warms up and runs very smoothly after an interval of less than a minute. I have found by pullling the plug wires that cylinder # 3 is the slackard. Plug is dry and compression was in the middle of the other 3. Was glad the plug was dry because I seem to be using/losing some coolant. So I think the injector needs to be inspected. From what I have read these injectors are just pressed into the head so can the injector be pulled with the fuel line attached so that the cap nut provides a pulling surface?
Regarding earlier posts: the cold start system must be making some contribution. I pulled it and sealed the hole termparily and car would not start at all. Throttles are closing properly...
