Does anybody out there know how to get to the oil filter housing gaskets on a chevy blazer s10 4x4?

remove filter, there are 2 bolts that go up into the block. Of coarse you have to take the two lines off of it too. There is a large o-ring and a small gasket in there to replace. Be sure to get the old gasket off of the block.

nope, you take off the filter and look up, I think they have an "allen" head. I've done a few on the 96 4x4 and its not "easy" but doable. IIRC you have to drop the front of the front drive shaft, remove the hose connectors off at the housing then just push them back out of the way. Get o-rings for those hoses to while your at it. The part I hate is cleaning the old gasket from up in the housing. It has to be scraped out and it up in there a ways. Make sure to clean the crap out of there because that is your main oil supply!

I'll second that! The damn gasket will be really brittle, too, and will crumble into hard little pieces. Make sure none of them stick around to get pumped into your engine!

4x4 has a front driveshaft, Actually I think you pull the rear part loose (just some bolts)then you just let it hang. You take loose one side of the shaft to get it out of the way. $175 sounds about right. Although the parts will only cost you about $10. maybe you better crawl under there and look at it before you get carried away.(you might not want to do it)
