Fuel Injectors?

2001 crown vic 4.6...suspect fuel injectors are leaking fuel into the cylinders when sitting. How do i go about checking this problem?

I've seen shade-tree mechanics so injector work, but imho, this might be something for a professional mechanic.

Before you jump to any conclusions pull the vac. hose off of the fuel regulator and check for fuel. If the diaphragm in the regulator springs a leak, fuel will flow past that leak and right into the intake manifold through that hose. Hard starting when hot is the usual complaint. Let us know what you find. Bob
