94 ford waterpump 6 cylinder pickup

My question concerns the water pump that is leaking from a unthreaded hole on the side of waterpump that goes into the water pump ,not into the truck motor like a bolt up hole Is this a freeze plug and if so can it be replaced also this is the original waterpump thanks for any thoughts or ideas hlb

weep hole, drains water that gets past the seal. Pump's probably bad, sorry to say.

I had the same thought.

On the upside though, the pump lasted 16 years. Not bad ...

Just replace the water pump. They aren't that expensive.

16 years! That's great. Replace (of course) the belt at teh same time. Have a clutch on the fan? Check it carefully at the same time...
