I have a slight lunging problem,at take off speeds and also at about 45 to 50 mph.the service eng. light comes on at random. thought this could be a trans. problem but to no avail.could the throttle position sensor be the problem?
Yes it could. But... you should get the car scanned first. It could be a lot of things - a scan would be the first order of business.
i had car scanned.throttle pos was on the list. could the sensor be out of calb.
Yes - or it could be defective - broke. In fact, it's a likely suspect.

It's a cheap enough fix - if the car is worth anything to you, why not just get it fixed?
