If you take a cast iron and aluminum heads that flow the same the iron head will make more power all things being equal. When building a complete engine with aluminum heads you should raise the compression one point to make back the ground lost by the aluminum material. I still agree with your statements since we all know that we never stop with a little power upgrade. :)

The aluminum heads will also let you run more timing in addition to more compression. Also, they are all but required if the engine will see forced induction. Putting a lot of time, effort and/or money into stock heads is like polishing (no pun intended) a turd. ;)

Does anyone actually have any experience USING these heads? The website, all three pages of it, reads well enough but it would be nice to get someone's impression that has actually bought, installed, and driven on them.

That isn't true in every case. My *stock* heads were purchased for $200. Completely rebuilt and taken to stage 3 specs. I have way more airflow through my heads right now than I do on intake or exhuast. I bought them from the shop that did my motor, and they only had about 50 miles on them. Granted, 20 or so of those miles came .25 miles at a time. I think I got a good deal. The best pass the heads every saw was 10.27@137mph.

I didn't read the site. The guy doesn't even know what years Mustang the E7 heads come on, so why buy from him? Heck in his auction it states '85 and up, but if you can even read a Ford part number you know E7 stands for 1987.
More timing and way less weight with aluminum heads.... The weight alone is worth it for my project that I have in mind, but more power too and more timing? You can get good aftermarket aluminum heads for less than $1000 brand new, and you can find them used at the Corral for less. It's a no brainer.

PS. And you know exactly what those aftermarket heads will do, but some guys ported stockers..... you're taking a heck of a chance there.

Not to mention the fun of telling the guy you just beat that they are "stock heads" and watching his reaction. :)
